so i got a belated brithday card from my aunty who lives in samoa (my daddys sister.. long story how she ended up in the home land of my mumzy's side lolz) anyways, she was saying good luck for school rah rah rah and signed off cheekily suggesting that if i ever wanted to have a break, i could go and work for her for a lil' while. (she & my uncle own their own business & also have recently bought a motel that they run). usually i just laugh it off, but shit..
knowing that i'm not graduating next year coz of ONE damn assignment, which means i can't do my post grad teaching like i planned to.. made me think- maybe i SHOULD go over and work for awhile, and make some money. it won't be bucket loads like if i got a job in NZ, but shit it would be the out that i'm longing for, and good learning/life experience don't you think??? so now i'm thinking i should do a 6 mth stint over there working & chilling, meeting new peeps etc...
i was thinking january to june, but january to march/april are the best summer months in NZ. so maybe i could go over april/may and come back around november to settle into teachers college in 2010. well, it's just a thought. it means i'll miss out on winter too (YAY!) and even tho i have crazy winter swag, i don't mind missing out on a season. and then i won't miss out on the highlight of my year which is- baskteball season LMAOoOoO
but jesus christ, i'll be totally following in my mumzy's foot steps haha first wanting to teach, and then living in my grandparents place of origin? jeeeeeez! anyways, that's got me wanting to finish this year properly and get my shit sorted coz it sounds like a plan. i still haven't started my essay AHHHHH!
