NEVER THOUGHT I'D SAY IT BUT...

i low-key miss new delhi. i know, i know, what i usually start hating straight off, i will come around to enjoying, and maybe loving. (but i'm a looooong way from that haha) when we landed, it was an instant dislike. i wanted to run back on board and demand to be flown back to vietnam hahaha but after i found my creature comforts: indian vogue (the indian models are STUNNING), hot chocolate, shopping malls with clothes that FIT, and my bollywood music video chanel, then i got a feel for the place, and settled in quite nicely.

it made me appreciate vietnam so much more (i used to hate this place, because i would compare it to shanghai all the time). and i also aquired a new found "inner strength" if you please, more assertive in myself, courage maybe? anyways, i'm more at ease just hanging out in nam, catch taxis solo from place to place, dealing with pushy shop assistants etc. i think because a) i'm not hasseled by creepy guys as much b) i don't have tp worry about covering up c) it's safer for me to be out and about on my own than always being chaperoned everywhere in delhi. (especially since they caught those 2 supposed terrrorists the day we got back from visiting the taj in agra).

even though i struggled to understand the english laced with the heavy indian accent, it was nice to have people that spoke a "kind of" english too lolz

i'm tired as from the flying, but was craving some of my bollywood beats (HAHA!) and hello! i managed to download some songs off the net AND i found the bollywood film that has all these songs i like on youtube, so i'm currently downloading it so i can finally understand this love triangle story that i've sort of worked out from the music videos. it's got english subtitles too, so that's a bonus haha

film of the year in india at the mo' is slumdog millionare. (we bought the book, so i'm gonna read it before we hunt down the dvd). i think it's won some golden globes already? i could be wrong, but that's the impression i'm under from the hype in india. i also read in a local newspaper that the pussycat dolls want to remake the main song (called jai ho). awesome, once again the west tryna take something good from the natives and stamp their name all over it. shot guys. anywho, unfortunately because i quite like the pussycat dolls i'll probs be the #1 fan haha.

i'll leave you with the song that they wanna do. back to work for me tomorrow. an unplanned trip to cambodia for work is on the cards, but i shall keep you posted... peaCe.
